So I am a California Girl! Born and raised in Southern California. I love the ocean! I always tell my husband the ocean feeds my soul when I try to talk him into taking a 15 minute drive to walk the boardwalk in Carlsbad. I also love lighthouse images so I was very excited to see the Inspired by Lighthouses Stamp Set.
One of the things I love about the Inspired By Series is that the shading is done for you. I highlighted my image with my Copics, then masked off the lighthouse, and sponged the sky.
Notice how I highlighted the waves. Last weekend I was lucky enough to get to take the Intermediate Copic Certification, taught by Sherrie Siemens and Marianne Walker. One of the Copic products we got to use was Copic Opaque White. I really like the effect.
My border is cut with the new Monarch Border Die-namic and I added a sentiment for the stamp set. I finished my card off with machine stitching, twine, and a Tim Holtz charm. My papers are from My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 Pad Breeze.
On the inside I stamped another lighthouse from the set and another sentiment.
