Hi all and thanks for stopping by for MFT'S September Blog Hop and Shop! I have to say this has been such a fun release! If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop just go on over to Kim's Blog.
I get to showcase the new Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics and Stamp Set! I just LOVE it! I have made three different types of projects to share.
First I have a card with a bit of a vintage feel. I used the dies in the set to cut my birdhouse using My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Sunshine. I stamped the post in black and cut it out. I stamped my sentiment on a tab cut with the Tab Ticket Die-namic. The scalloped border is cut with the Simple Scallops Large Die-namic.
I cut the roof twice, once in the DP and once in black cardstock. The I added lace using Scor-Pal Taped in 1/4". I used a dimensional dot to pop up the wing. Ribbon and stitching are the finishing touches.
Here is a look at the inside of my card.
Next up is a small home decor piece I plan to add to my mantle when I bring out my fall decorations. I bought a 5" x 5" frame at Michaels. My papers are from Echo Park Jillibean Soup 6x6 Pad - Apple Cheddar. My scene is put together using a combination of Die-namics.
I cut the branch and leaves with the new Branch With Leaves Die-namics. I used corrugated paper to cut the roof. The scallop edge on the roof is cut with the Simple Scallops Small Die-namic. I hang the birdhouse from the branch with twine. My bird is cut from My Favorite Felt in Cherry Cobbler. My three rows of grass I also cut for felt in Sour Apple.
The fence is cut also cut from corrugated paper with the Woodgrain Fence Die-namic and sponged with distress ink. The little post is cut with the Mini Pennants Die-namic.
Never too early to start thinking about Christmas, right? I made this little kraft gift bag. Now all I need to do is bake my cookies!
I cut the tag using the Tag You're It Die-namic. My papers are My Mind's
Eye 12 Days of Christmas. I added a birdhouse to my tag and I used My Favorite Felt in Cherry on Top for my birds. The sentiment is included in the set. My
center in the bag is cut with the Four Point Corner Die. To attach my tag to my bag I used a small
clothes pin and covered the front of the pin with DP and added three
rhinestones.
Thanks for hopping by! You can find all the new products right HERE! Now it is time to hop on over to the sweet and talented Lisa's Blog!
