Thanks for stopping by today! It is Day 4 of MFT Teasers for October we are previewing Bon Appétit and Contempo Cage Die-namics and Stamp Sets. You can stop by Kim's blog to see the list of designers sharing projects today.
My card uses the Contempo Cage Die-namic and Stamp Set. I stamped the bird perch in black ink and then the bird in pink ink. The set comes with a number of patterned options for the wing. I stamped the polka dotted pattern and cut it out with the die in the set.
Then I cut the bird cage from patterned paper. I cut my paper the bird was stamped on to fit the cage. I used the new Oval Tab Die-namic for my sentiment. I added a second bird that was cut with dies in the set.
My scalloped border is cut with the Simply Scallops Large Die. I also added stitching and Bakers Twine in Pink Sorbet. My papers are Crate Paper - Random.
Did you know that you can cut thin chipboard/cardboard with your Die-namics? I wanted my cage to have a little more dimension, so I cut it out first with cardbroad and layered the patterned paper cage on top. You can save cereal boxes or the thinner cardboard from the back of paper pads to use with your die-namics.
On the inside I stamped another great sentiment for the set and added another bird.
