Taylored Expressions November Key Ingredients

It is the 15th of the month and the November Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Kit is now available!! I am very excited about this month's kit!! The papers this month are from October Afternoon Modern Homemaker collection and they are the cutest! You can find all the information about the Key Ingredient Kit Subscription right HERE!

There is a modern homemaker in all of us, right? This month Taylor challenged us to create something to spice up our kitchens, or anything featuring kitchen icons or food, food stamps or real food!

For my project I made a grocery list book and matching pen and pencil holder to sit by the phone in my kitchen. I have a busy house, which is about to get busier, as one of daughter's moves home from college to start her job hunt. I like having one place where everyone know to write down what they need or we have run out of.

I used the paper with the kitchen icons as my starting point. I just LOVE this paper!

I covered two pieces of 8" x 4" chipboard with papers from the kit. I added some pretty aqua twill from the kit where the two papers come together. For my place setting I stamped an image for the new Enjoy! stamp set and colored with Copics. Then I used Taylor's Take Note Frame 2 die to cut the image out.

I spelled out Grocery List with the sticker letters included in the kit on red cardstock for the kit. I see the cute oven mitt? This is just one of the chipboard kitchen images included in the kit, that I covered with the red polka paper. I punched a hole in the oven mitt and tied on baker twine from the Baker's Twine Sampler.

I added tabs to book using the Keeping Tabs die and the Keeping Tabs stamp set. There are certain items we always purchase at Costco so I wanted a different section for those items.

The last step is bind the book. The used my new Cinch, so easy!

Then I painted this wooden box I had purchased at Michaels and covered it to match my Grocery List. I used the aqua twill again and tied on a couple more pieces of the chipboard.
