Caged Bird

There are three new stamps being previewed today, Jolinne - I'm Sorry, Flappers in the Kitchen, and Inspired By - Caged Bird. Stop by Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST for the list of designers sharing projects today.
For my project I made a card and a journal with the new Inspired By - Caged Bird. This is a new line of stamps for MFT. It is pretty and elegant, and I am really excited about working with the new line.
I covered my journal with some pretty paper from My Mind's Eye. I stamped the cage and then the bird and added a little distressing ink. Notice the elegant diamond pattern? This stamp is included in the set. I also stamped one the pretty sentiments for the set. I added stitching, a border with the Die-namic Prefect Bracket Edge, and used twill from the Creme Cotton Twill Collection to tie the journal closed.

For my card I used another stamp from the set and the diamond border stamp.

On the inside I used my DP, a sentiment from the set, and the Small Scallop Border Die on the bottom edges.
