MFT April Hop and Shop

Tonight I am working with the stamp set Sweet Spring Jolinne! I made a little room decoration for a little girl I know who loves to dance!

I stamped the images in Memento Black Ink and colored with copics. The skirt on the dancer and the bunny are paper pieced. On the skirt for the dancer I added a small ruffled ribbon before I glued it down. The sentiment is included in the set.

To make the banner at the top I used chipboard pieces and glitter letters that I colored with Copics to match the project. The project is mounted on a 8x8 piece of chipboard. I added some machine stitching, ribbon tied with a button and twine, more of the ruffled ribbon and a border punch.

    OH mAN! I think I might hyperventilate--this is so lovely! THe ruffle, the paper piecing, the banner & glittery letters. Any girl would flip right out over this. WOWzers!

    Oh man, this makes me wish my daughter was still a little tiny ballerina! She's moved onto the "tween / teen" stage...how come no one ever warns us moms about that part. (sigh)

    My favorite thing has to be the ruffle on her skirt. So smart and perfect for this gorgeous project!

    Love this! My daughter dances too -- if she wasn't already 14 and "too old" for my creations, I would have made this for her too! It would make a great sketch for a card too though! TFS!
