Thinking Green - Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi Everyone! The Pretty Pink Posh March Release is NOW available! New stamps and Dies and some really pretty jewels! Today I am going to share a St. Patrick's Day card I created with the new Best of Luck Stamp Set.

I created the background by stamping the sentiment and the shamrocks in the stamp set on watercolor paper in white pigment ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. Then I used an ink blender to sponge on the color with distressing inks.

I used the larger of the two dies in the Window Frames Dies to cut the window in the card front. Behind the window I added the rainbow from the Best of Luck Stamp Set. The stamped images are colored with Copic Markers and die cut with the Best of Luck Coordinating Dies

At the bottom of the card I used one of the new dies in the Stacked Edges 2 Die to cut the diamond border from the card front. I inserted the border back into the card front, popping it up a little to add dimension.

I LOVE the new jewels that are being released! They are so pretty! Here I used the Shamrock Jewels

Sending Happy Thoughts Your Way

Hi Everyone! Happy Friday! I got a chance to play with some new Daniel Smith Watercolor paints and the Pretty Pink Posh Pretty Petunias Stamp Set. The pretty spring colors and pretty flowers are sure to send Happy Thoughts!

I started by stamping the flowers, leaves, and the hummingbird on watercolor paper and then embossed with white embossing powder. I am a novice when it comes to watercolor and the embossing really helps keep the color stay inside the lines. The hummingbird is from the popular Hummingbird Thanks Stamp Set. After I watercolored the images I die cut with the Pretty Petunias Coordinating Dies and the Hummingbird Thanks Coordinating Dies

I die cut the background panel with the larger die in the Stitched Notes Dies, and added a light coat of yellow ink with a stencil brush. The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp Set

The final touch is a few 4mm Clear Droplets, on of my favorites!

Thanks for taking a look! Have a great weekend.

Hello Friend

Hi and thanks for stopping by today. I have a card to share that I created with the Pretty Pink Posh Pretty Petunias Stamp Set and the Hummingbird Thanks Stamp Set.

I cut an A2 card base, a white matting to fit inside the card base, and then a stitched Kraft panel with the largest die in the Stitched Notes Dies. I added interest to the Kraft panel by sponging the edges with white pigment ink and splattering the panel with gold paint.

I colored the flowers and hummingbird with Copic Markers and die cut the images with the Pretty Petunias Coordinating Dies and the Hummingbird Thanks Coordinating Dies. I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in white to the center of the flower.

I love the pretty script of the Hello Friend Script Die! I cut the words twice from a gold foil cardstock and glued the layers together. This adds a little more depth to the sentiment. I dotted the "I" with a 4MM Metallic Gold Sequin.

Have a great day!

Smile Friend

Hi everyone! I have card to share today with lots of spring colors that I hope will make a friend smile! I created the card with stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started off by creating the background. I cut a panel of watercolor paper for the card front. I used Seedless Preserves Oxide Ink and a blending tool to add the color, spritzed the paper with water and splattered on white paint.

I die cut the Smile Shaker Die twice from white cardstock and glued the two die cuts together. Behind the die cut I added a circle of vellum. The flowers are from the Pretty Petunias Stamp Set and die cut with the Pretty Petunias Coordinating Dies. The flowers are colored with Copic Markers and colored pencils. I just tucked the flowers in and around the circle.

The sentiment is from the Rainy Days Additions Stamp Set. I stamped in white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I finished off the card with a scattering of sequins from the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good week!

Valentine Tags for Everyone!

Hi Everyone! I have some ideas for Valentine's Day Tags to share with you for everyone on your list. I created a masculine tag for my husband, a tag for a special little girl, and a tag for one of my daughters.

I like having tags ready to go in my stash. A handmade tag dresses up the simplest package!

My first tag is for one of my daughters who is a young adult. For the base of the tag I used the largest die in the Scallop Square Tags Dies.  Next I die cut the Love Shaker Die twice, once from pink cardstock and once from patterned paper. I inlayed the pattern paper into the pink heart and used double sided tape to hold the pieces in the heart and then attached the heart to the tag. The flower is created with the Pretty Petunias Stamp Set and the Pretty Petunias Coordinating Dies. The last step is to attached a few sequins from the Metallic Gold Confetti Mix

My next tag was created with my husband in mind. Valentine's Day always includes a box of his favorite Sees Candies and this tags will be perfect attached to the box. I used the Scallop Diamond Tags Dies as the base for the tag. I stamped the sentiment and the hearts with the Love Sentiments Stamp Set in gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. The final touch is a few red heart sequins from the Assorted Heart Confetti Mix

The last tag was created with a little girl in mind. I used the Scallop Circle Tags Dies for the base of the tag. I cut the tag from watercolor paper and sponged on distress ink and misted the paper with water. The girl is stamped with the  the Birthday Friends Stamp Set and die cut with the Birthday Friends Coordinating Dies. I colored the image with Copic Markers and used a white gel pen to add the polka dots to her dress. The heart shaped balloons is included in the Friends Forever Stamp Set and die cut with the Friends Forever Coordinating Dies. The sequins are from the Assorted Heart Confetti Mix
