CTD290 - Smile

Thanks for stopping by for Color Throwdown 290! It's Tammy's turn to host this weeks challenge! She has chosen this fun mix of colors for us to work with this week.

I hope you get a chance to play along for a chance to be next week's Guest Star Stamper!

I am sad to say that this will be last post as a member of the Color Throwdown Team. I have SO enjoyed being on this team with such talented, creative and fun ladies. Thank you girls for having me as a member of the group!!

I have a scrapbook page to share today. I didn't have a peachy pink in my stash, so I used a light pink.

The photo is from my daughter's last college  dance show. My patterned paper is from Melissa Frances.

In the corner I added a flower created with the Botanical Beauty Die-namics. Behind the flower is a doily cut with the Dainty Doily Die-namics and the sentiment is cut with the Accent It - Story Starters Die-namics.

Here the sentiment is from the Complimentary Greetings Stamp Set. The smile sentiment is cut out with a die in the Blueprints 13 Die-namics. The scalloped border at the bottom is cut with the Jumbo Scallop Border Die-namics.

You do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge,  just use the closest you have.  Use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD290.

Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Color Throwdown 289

Thanks for stopping by for Color Throwdown 289! It's Monika's turn to host this weeks challenge! She has chosen this pretty color combo for us to work with this week.

I hope you get a chance to play along for a chance to be next week's Guest Star Stamper!

This week I have a card to share for the Color Challenge. I am using the Pure Innocence I Pick You Stamp Set.

I created the background pattern with the Stripes Stencil, sponging Sweet Tooth Ink on Grapesicle Card Stock. I added MFT Ribbon in Grape Jelly and lace from my stash.

The image is colored with Copics and I used colored pencils for the grass. My flower embellishment is put together with the Gerbera Daisy Die-namics, which is this month’s Free With $60 set, Royal Leaves Die-namics, and a Grape Jelly Button.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set.

MFT's April Creative Challenge - Patterned Flowers

Thanks for stopping by for MFT's April Creative Challenge. This month's challenge is to Jazz Up Your Blooms with Pattern.  I have a couple of cards to share with you today.

My first card is a gift card holder. The background is created with the Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics. The gift card pocket is cut with Gift Card Pocket - Vertical Die-namics from Gray Grout Card Stock. "Hello" is cut with the Happy Hellos Die-namics  and I added a coat of Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze. The "friend" sentiment is from the Bitty Banners Stamp Set, stamped in Sweet Tooth Ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

I created my patterned flower by stamping the Typewriter Text Background Stamp on Pink Lemonade Card Stock and then cutting the flower out with the Hybrid Camellia Flower Die-namics. The leaves are cut with the Layered Leaves Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set and added a couple of the negatives left from using the  Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics.

On my next card I created my patterned flower with the Botanical Beauty Die-namics, the Textile Backgrounds Stamp Set,  Sweet Tooth Ink, and white embossing powder.

I used Polka Dot Cover-Up Die-namics for the background pattern and the Insert It - InstaFrame Die-namics to frame the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the  Birthday Greetings Stamp Set and accented with a circle created with the Concentric Circles Stencil.

Here are the products I used on my first card:
