Happy New Year!! What better way to start off the New Year than with a new MFT Release! Today is the beginning of MFT's January Release Countdown, just 7 Days until our January Release!

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day and the list of designers sharing projects.

I am starting off the release with the new Lisa Johnson Stamp Set, Love's the Ticket

I started by stamping the background with the Woodgrain Background Stamp with a new ink being released this month, Grout Gray

I stamped the ticket with a number a stamped for the new stamp set and then cut it out with the coordinating new Die-namics, Ticket Note. I used the new Grout Grey Card Stock for the ticket.

The sentiment is cut out with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. The doily is created with the Heart Doily Die-namics.

Here's a look at the inside. The sentiment if from the stamp set.

Finally, another bit of excitement is coming up... you'll find out on Tuesday when we announce our Featured Stamper, so play along with us and stay tuned!

Tami is starting off the year with this fun color challenge of cool grays and a pop of color.

I created this 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook layout based on the color challenge.

Once I had decide on my layout, I used the Graduated Stars to add the stars to my background with Steel Gray Ink

I added the sentiment "Love" with the Accent It - Celebrate Die-namics and created the reel with the Accent It - Reel Life Die-namics, one of my favs!

I used the Sheet Music Background Stamp to add the pattern to the background paper. The tab sentiment is from the Document It - Captured Memories Stamp set and cut out with the Ticket Tab Die-namics.

How perfect is this sentiment for the photo! It is from the Document It - Rock On Stamp Set.

You do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge,  just use the closest you have.  Use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD273.  Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

December Creative Challenge

Thanks for stopping by for MFT's December Creative Challenge. This month's challenge is to Make it a Banner Year! Ring the new year in with style with a home decor piece that takes a room from drab to fab. Get a head start on Valentine's Day, a birthday party, or create a banner for another upcoming occasion or theme.

Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have a project to share with you today.

I have been wanting to make a banner for my studio since I moved into it!! The challenge was just what I needed to get it done!  The banner hangs at the top of my bulletin board.

The individual banners are cut with the Jumbo Banner Day STAX Die-namics. I added a doily to each banner using the smaller die in the Dainty Doily Duo

I also went through my stash and collected some embellishments and metal accents I might want to use.

At each corner I added a flower and leaves with the Large Hybrid Heirloom Rose and Layered Leaves Die-namics.

Any patterned papers I used are from Crate Paper DIY. I also used MFT Card Stock, corrugated papers, and burlap. I love a lot texture!

The circles in the center of the doilies are cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.

On the banner with the "R" I used canvas stamped in Black Licorice Ink, using the script stamp from the Art Expression Text Stamp Set for the background.

On the banner with the "E" I created the background with the Checkerboard Stencil and Light Molding Paste.

I used one of the dies in the Sew Nifty Die-namics to cut  the mannequin from a light weight chipboard and embossed it with embossing enamel.

Here I added the hexagon pattern with the Mini Chicken Wire Die-namics.

All  the letter are cut once from chipboard an once from card stock. After I adhered the pieces together I added a coat of Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze

Here are the products I used on my project:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
