Digital Design Day and WSC Challenge

The MFT Design Team is getting together today for a Digital Design Day. MFT is releasing four new templates and a new digi paper pack. The release includes:

Halloween Dotty Papers
Bird House Template
Full Circle Treat Box Template
All Seasons Wagon Template
Pumpkin Box Template

You can stop by Kim's blog to see the list of designers sharing projects today.

I use the Full Circle Treat Box Template for my treat holder and stamped an image from Tiny Town Halloween for the top.

All the templates being released today come in a number of formats for popular cutting machines as well as the PDF version for those who don’t have a cutting machine. You can find all the templates HERE!

I am combining my template with a coordinating card to make a little Halloween gift. My card was inspired by the challenge this week for MFT'S Wednesday Stamp Club. The theme is Let's Play Dress Up!, create a card or a project featuring someone dressing up. Think dressed up for Halloween, dressed up for a night on the town, or just playing dress up. You can find all the details over at Kim's Blog.

This cute little PI is all dressed up for Halloween and ready to go tricking or treating. She is colored with Copics. I added stitching with black heavy thread, a doily that I sponged with distressing ink, lace, ribbon, and a stick pin. The bottom edge is cut with the Die-namics Perfect Bracket Edge Die.

I added a bat brad to her pail, rhinestones to the top of her antennas and glitter to her wings.

On the inside I used the Perfect Bracket Edge Die again and stamped an image and sentiment from Tiny Town Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by! I am excited about all the new templates and I hope will join us this week for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge. AND Teasers for the MFT October release starts on Saturday.

Wedding Shower Card

Happy Friday! I worked for home today, got to stay in my PJ's until noon; a good start to the weekend! Tomorrow I am going to a bridal shower. This the card I made for the shower using Taylor's Sketch Challenge for this week.

I used my Taylored Expressions stamp set, Tweet Hearts, and paper and embellishments for this month Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Kit. I stamped out my scene and added distressing ink to the edges of the circle. I added stitching, brads in the corner, and ribbon from the kit. I added a touch of lace from my stash.

I added one of the pretty doilies that are in the kit this month behind my image. The sentiment is included in the Tweet Hearts stamp set, perfect for a bridal shower.

If you want more information about the Key Ingredients Kits you can find it HERE.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Thinking of You

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! I hit the mall this morning for a little fall shopping and then got a little stamping done this afternoon.

My card today is based on the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge for this week and all the products I used to create my card today are from this month Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit. If you haven't tried Taylor's Kits you can find all the info HERE.

I used the stamp set, In the Park, for my card. The image is colored with Copics. I added sewing around the edges and finished the card off with a bow with ribbon from the kit. The sentiment is from the stamp set and the pretty brad is also included in the this month's kit.

I did some masking to stamp out my scene. First I stamped the basket, masked it off and stamped the park bench, and masked off the bench and stamped the tree. A little extra work but worth the time!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

School Pictures

I am slowing working through my pile of school pictures that need to make it into my girls' scrapbooks! Boy am I behind! This is my daughter Kayley's picture from her Junior year of high school. I vowed not to buy any more scrapbook embellishments and use what I have in my stash and the stamps and dies I own!

The banner at the top is made with the MFT Die-namics Banner Day Die. I used the largest of the dies in the set with Kraft cardstock. Then I sponged around the edges with distressing ink, and strung the banner on twine.

The letters are stamped with Wendy Alpha lettering stamp set.

In keeping with the school theme, I used my PI Book In Hand, colored her with Copics and paper pieced her skirt.

The scallop on the bottom paper is made with the Die-namic Jumbo Scallop Die.

Have a great day! It is Friday! I sure hope to get some stamping in!

A Tweet Thank You

I am very excited today to share my first project with you as a member of Taylor's Key Ingredient Kit Club Design Team!!

I love this month's kit! The DP is from the Restoration Crate Paper Collection, full of rich, beautiful colors and fun and elegant embellishments. Everything in the kit goes so well together! So pretty and time saving as well!

You can find all the the details about the Kit Club Subscription HERE.

On the 15th of each month, when then Key Ingredient Kit comes out, Taylor comes up with a challenge! In keeping with the name of the Crate Paper collection, our September challenge will be Restoration ... making the old new again! I hope you will play along! Cover an old picture frame or re-purpose the Starbucks corrugated coffee sleeve! The possibilities are endless and we are looking forward to seeing your trash to treasure projects!

Here a my take on the challenge, a Tweet Little Thank You Gift!

First I made a thank you card using the Tweet Hearts stamp set. I stamped out my little scene and then punched out the circles and added brads from the Kit to the centers of the circles. I sponged distressing ink on the edges. Notice the doily? They are included in the Kit! I just love them!

I added stitching around the edges, a sentiment from the stamp set, and a bow with ribbon from the kit.
On the inside I used the "Thank You" sentiment from the Branching Out stamp set and used a piece of the doily I had left from the front of my card.

So here is the Restoration part of my project using a leftover jar and a wooden knob.

Using the Tweet Hearts stamp set, I covered the jar to coordinate with the front of the card. I painted the knob brown and used ribbon from to the kit around the jar top. I filled the jar with chocolate and my little gift is ready to go.

Be sure to stop by the other designers blogs to see what they have come up with:

Well Read

I hope you all have had a nice weekend! My hubby and I got some nice alone time, including a walk on the beach and a nice dinner out. I got a little stamping in before I go back to work tomorrow.

My card today uses WTG Well Read. I have so many friends and relative that love to read! This stamp is going to well inked!

I went crazy with the paper piecing! Everything is paper pieced except for her pants. I even cut a small strip of brown cardstock for the base boards. I used the Die-namices Small Scalloped Border at the bottom and added lace, twine, and a button.

I stamped the sentiment for the set and hung it with a Baby Braddie to look like a picture over the couch.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment for the set.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a good week!

iTunes Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone! It is time for MFT's Greatest Hits for September! This month it is all the about that "oh so cute" Jolinne. Stop by Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST to see the list of designers sharing projects with a Jolinne stamp today.

And in honor of Jolinne, Kim is offering a $5.00 savings on any Jolinne set. Enter the code JOLINNE at check out.

I am using Jolinne - My Hearts Sings for my project today, which is a cute little gift card holder. I colored Jolinne with Copics. Then I covered the flap and the bottom of the card front with Basic Grey Olivia DP.

I paper pieced her legs so that they would dangle past the circle. The edge on the flap was cut with the Die-namics Perfect Bracket Edge Die. I used magnets to hold the purse closed.

When you open the card there is sentiment from the Jolinne set, and I used a nestibility to cut the hole for the gift card and the Small Scalloped Border Die to added the borders to the top and bottom.

If you want to give this a try, I started with a 11" x 5" strip of card stock. I scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2" leaving 2 1/2" for the flap. Be sure to punch two holes at the top score line, insert the ribbon for the handle, and then cover your panels with DP.

I added an iTunes Gift card; just seemed perfect of this Jolinne stamp!

Thanks for stopping by!

You Make My World Happy

Hi All! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend. We are grilling and swimming and enjoy these last days of summer. And I even got a little stamping time in!

This cute PI, Being Cute Is What I do, had not seen ink yet!

She is colored with copics and her shirt is paper pieced. I add a little glitter pen to the flower on her shirt.

I sewed around the edges, and made by borders with the Scalloped Scallop die and cork, and the Jumbo Scallop die. Then I just added eyelet ribbon from the fabric store.

I used distress inks around the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye and Antique Linen Distressing Inks. The DP is My Minds Eye.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment for the PI set, Birthday Princess, and added scalloped border to match the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Little Girl Gift Set

Welcome to MFT's September Blog Hop. If you came here from Christina's blog you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning of the hop go on over to Kim's blog.

I am using Emma Playing Mommy for a little gift set I put together for a special little girl.

My image is colored with Copics and Emma's dress and the baby carriage are paper pieced. I added buttons, threaded with pink floss for the wheels and I used Pink Liquid Pearls on Emma's necklace. The sentiment is from the set. I used the new Die-namic Rounded Banner Trio Die to stamp my sentiment on. I am loving this new die and have so many ideas for it!

On the inside I stamped the carriage and used the Jumbo Scallop and the Scalloped Scallops dies for my borders.

Next I made a little keepsake box to hold a gift card and a few little things, maybe a little necklace. I picked up this wooden box at Michael's with my 40% of coupon for $1.50. I painted it pale pink. I added the carriage, rhinestones, and little flowers.

When you lift the top there is a mirror. I added another sentiment from the set. The little drawer is where I will add my goodies.

I covered the side of box with DP.

That is it for me! Time to hop on over to the very talented and so sweet, Lisa's Blog.

When you are ready to shop you find all the new products right HERE!
