MFTeasers Day 2 - Joy Ride

Today we are sharing sneak peeks of the new sets, Joy Ride and Clearly Sentimental About You. To see all the designers sharing projects today visit Kim's blog at 11 am EST.

When I saw the set Joy Ride I thought "how fun". I just love the Vespa! And then I thought, "Perfect for cards but really works for scrap pages too". I have shared that my youngest daughter Kayley, she is the one in the white hat, is studying aboard in Prague. I am making her an 8 x 8 album about her experiences. So this stamp set just seemed perfect for a couple of pages.

On this page I stamped the image, colored with copics, and paper pieced her scarf. I added rhinestones and the sentiment is from the set.

Here's a closer look.

On this page I stamped the smaller suitcase, masked it off, and stamped the larger suitcase. This sentiment is in the set too.

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I will have peeks at the new Pure Innocence stamps.

MFTeasers Day 1 - I Want Candy

It is so hard to believe it is already the end of February! But the good news is that it is time for the next MFT release!!! Sneak peeks start today and all the new stamps will be released on Wednesday, March 3rd!

Today we are preview a fun set called, "I Want Candy". Be sure to check Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST for the list of design team members who will be sharing projects today.

For my project I made a little thank you gift with a card and a little jar filled with some sweet treats!

For the card I stamped the lollipops and the paper pieced them. The sentiment is from a previously released stamp set, called Here's the Scoop. I did some stitching, and added eyelet, and gingham ribbon.

Here is the inside of the card.

Then I altered a square jar by cutting a strip of DP, and stamping the candy directly on the patterned paper. Then I stamped the candy again on different patterned papers and paper pieced the candy. I added a border punch to the top and button and rhinestones here and there.

Thanks for stopping by! I will have another sneak peek tomorrow!

Magical Day

Happy Friday! I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend without too much scheduled on the calender. We are suppose to get rain so it may be a perfect stamping weekend!

Can you believe I actually have a PI stamp that I haven't inked up! I finally had a chance to ink up Fairy Girl! For inspiration I used Mercy's sketch challenge for this week.

Her sweet, little dress is paper pieced, I colored with Copics and Prism colored pencils. I added glitter to her wings. I layered on the squares, lace, and DP, adding stitching around all the edges. Ribbon, a bow, button and twine finish it off.

Here is the inside with the perfect sentiment for the image!

You can find all the new products HERE!

First up, I made a birthday card with the new WTG. I have lots of different ideas for this set, but I went "pretty" for this one. Her skirt is colored with copics and then I added some black stickles to the skirt and black glaze pen to the shoes. The cake is paper pieced, cut out, and then popped up. I added pearls to the top of each tier and then sponged a little color around the edges. I also added ribbon and lace.

Here is a closer look.

On the inside of the card I stamped the candles and then added a cake cut from the DP.

Next up is a gift bag I made with the "What's Crackin?" set and the new digi papers from the Easter Daisies Collection. I used a cut down paper bag as the base, punched holes for the handles, and added a front and back to the bag. The egg shells on the bunnies are paper pieced with the digi papers. The sentiment is also included in the set.

Taylor's 100th Sketch!

I just love sketches to help me start a project, and Taylor's sketches are one of my favorite challenges. Taylor is celebrating her 100th sketch! And I say that I have used many of her sketches as my starting place. You can join the fun HERE!

I picked up this cute owl stamp, Owls in Love, at Taylor's both at CHA! I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with copics. I added a little clear glaze pen to the hearts and the eyes. I cut out the stamp and mounted it on some new My Mind Eye's paper. I did some sewing around the edges, added brown lace, twine, and buttons to finish it off!

Sending Well Wishes

I finally had a chance to do a little stamping and just had to ink up one of the new Pure Innocence stamps I hadn't had a chance to play with yet, Better Get Better. For inspiration I used Mercy's sketch challenge for this week.

The image is stamped with Memento Black and colored with my copics. The sentiment is from the set. I added a border, some sewing, lace, and a ribbon to embellish my card. I sponged distressing ink around the edges.

Here is the inside of the card. I wanted to highlight the teddy bear so I used a circle punch to cut it out.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great weekend. It is a three day weekend for me and I will be busy finishing up my projects for the Dirty Dozen Gallery that opens Monday night.

MFT February Blog Hop

Welcome to the MFT February release blog hop! If you just happened upon my blog and want to start at the beginning, hop on over to Kim's blog!

Tonight I am sharing some projects I made with this month's new TRIPLE SCOOP SET, Clearly Sentimental about You! The Triple Scoop is FREE with the purchase of three full sets at $15.95 or higher.

I love this sentiment set! Not only are the sentiments beautiful, they allow me to take images I already own and give them and my card a new meaning!

My first card is made with the new set, Miss You Much Jolinne but the sentiments are fromClearly Sentimental About You. It is a little ironic that this set came out this month. Yesterday my youngest daughter left home to study aboard for a semester in Praque. This is the card that is tucked in her suitcase!

I stamped the imagae with Memento Black ink. She is colored with copics and the top and bottom suitcases are paper pieced. I cut out the window from the DP and popped it up. There is sewing and distressiing around the edges. I weaved twine through the lace and gathered it up a bit and added a ribbon.

On the inside is another sentiment from the set. I LOVE this one!
Next up I used a Pure Innocence stamp from a previous release, My Balloon and sentiments from the Triple Scoop set. She is colored with copics and I change her balloon by masking off the original balloon and adding the felt heart. I did a little sewing, distressed the edges, and added eyelet lace, ribbon and a button tied with twine. The sweet sentiment finishes it off.

Here is the inside with another sentiment.

Now it time to hop along! HOP on over to SHERRIE'S Blog! I am sure she has one of her wonderful project to share!

I have a wedding shower to go to and we are suppose to share recipes with the bride. I decide to make a little chipboard recipe book. To each page I added stamped images or sentiments from the two sets. I used copic makers, distressing inks, and embellishments for a vintage touch. All this is left to do is write in the recipes!!

Below is a photo of each page:

I also paper pieced the balloons and popped up the first one. There is glitter on the balloons and I highlighted here and there with a glitter pen.

There is sewing around the edges, and then I layer a border punch trim, eyelet lace, patterned paper, and ribbon.

Here is the inside of the card. The sentiment is included in the set.

MFT Teasers Day 3 Pure Innocence

Sweet, sweet, sweet!! Today I get to share two of the three new Pure Innocence stamps! They are just so cute and I know you will love them. Head on over to Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST to see the list of design team members who are posting teasers today.

First up is "You Make the Grade". I am really trying to scrapbook more and I love using the stamps I already own to make embellishments and personalize my page. This is my youngest daughter's second grade class picture. (She is in college now so yes I am a little behind!)

I colored this sweet image with copics and paper pieced her skirt. I added MFT baby brads to look like the nails on the easel legs.

I used the two in Bling 'bers set and "Grade" is a word from the sentiment in the set.

Next I made a card with the set "Blooming Good Day". She too is colored with Copics and her dress is paper pieced. I added a little glitter pen to the watering can. Then I layered lace, two rows of grass, and some pretty ribbon. There is stitching along the edges.

Here is the inside of the card which coordinates with the outside.

See you tomorrow for another teaser!
TFL,
Melody
