A Halloween Hello

Hi and thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great holiday weekend as we wind down on summer! I just got back from my nephew's wedding in Kennebuckport, Maine. I put my feet in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time!

I hadn't been in my studio for two weeks and I was needing to create something! So I planned along with this week's challenge over at the Simon Says Monday Challenge Blog, "a challenge for Halloween. I love the word play, I love Kraft and I love Halloween.”

And here is my take on the challenge. I started by creating my background. I used the Small Brick Wall Stencil and Light Molding Paste to created the brick wall on Kraft Card Stock. After the Molding Paste had dried I distressed it a bit with distressing ink.

I created the window with the Centerpieces Spooky Window Die-namics. Behind the window I added a piece of Banana Split Card Stock and then softened the feel with a piece of Vellum. I used the Witch Way Is the Candy? Stamp Set and Die-namics to add the sentiment, bat, and the pumpkins.

I added a ledge to the window by cutting a rectangle to fit the window. The sentiment is cut out with a die in the Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Spooky Sentiments Stamp Set.

Banner Birthday

Thanks for stopping by today! I have a fun birthday card to share. I made this card for a challenge to use a banner on your project over at Splitcoaststampers.  I am finally getting a chance to share it on my blog.

I love stencils and the one I used here for my background is one of my favorites, the On the Diagonal. I sponged Berryilicious Ink on Sno Cone Card Stock. The large background banner is die cut with the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics.

To cut my clouds I used the Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics, using the glittered cardstock.

I cut the banner across the top with the Bitty Banners Die-namics. Any patterned paper is from Basic Grey. I machine stitched the banner to my card.

"happy" is cut with the Happy Die-namics and "BIRTHDAY" is stamped with a stamp in the Happy Everything Stamp Set.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.

Hello Friend

Hi there! It all most the weekend and I off to attend a wedding, but I thought I would share a card before I got on the road. I made this card for a challenge to use wheels on your project a few weeks ago. I am getting a chance to share it on my blog today.

I started by creating the background with the Small Brick Wall Stencil and Light Molding Paste on Grey Grout Card Stock.

I created the window with the Square Grid Cover-Up Die-namics, cutting it down to just use four of the squares. Behind the window I added as square of vellum and then a square of Banana Split Card Stock.

I put together the awning by cutting a strip of Wild Cherry Card Stock and stamping the stripes with the Pinstripe Background Stamp using Sweet Tooth Ink. The scalloped edge is cut with the Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics and I added a score line towards the bottom edge.

The sentiment is from the Fall Foliage Stamp Set and cut out with the Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics.

The bike is die cut with the Bicycle Die-namics and the grass with the Grassy Edges Die-namics.

On the inside a stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.
