MFTWSC117 - Happy Birthday

It's Wednesday and time for another MFT Sketch. This week, we are up to MFTWSC117! You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. Hope you have a chance to play along this week!

Here is my take on the sketch. I am using the Spring Wreath Die-namics and a sentiment from the LJD Pretty Poppies Stamp Set.

I cut the wreath out twice, added a little glitter, small pink rhinestones and the bow that is included in the Spring Wreath Die-namics.

I used the Circle STAX Die-namics 1 and 2 to frame the wreath. I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to cut out the sentiment and matted it with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from this month's Triple Scoop, Birthday Sentiments.

I used MFT Card Stock in Steel Grey and Pink Lemonade

Here are the Die-namics I used:

MFT'S March Creative Challenge

Hi and thanks for stopping by for MFT'S March Creative Challenge. The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.
This month, we are highlighting our favorite color combinations using MFT Ink, cardstock, buttons, ribbon, and felt.
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

My first card uses the MFT Card Stock color combination of Pink Lemonade, Steel Grey, Sour Apple, and Whip Cream.

I love MFT's buttons! Here I created a heart as the center piece of my card using Pink Lemonade Buttons. Down each side of the card I added borders with the Dainty Lace Border Die-namics.  The sentiment and button stamp is from the LJD Homespun Hearts Stamp Set.

The pattern on Sour Apple Cardstock is created with the grid paper stamp in the LLD Journal It - Graph Paper Notes Stamp Set in Sour Apple Ink.

Here is what I used to create my button heart. I cut a heart from Pink Lemonade Cardstock with the Heart STAX Die-namics. Using the heart as my base I glued buttons onto the cardstock. Then I coated the buttons with Glossy Accents and lightly sprinkled glitter on the buttons.

Behind the heart I used the Rounded Banner Die-namics. I cut one in Steel Grey and in Pink Lemonade Cardstock. I stamped the dotted pattern in Pink Lemonade Ink with a stamp from LJD Darling Dots Stamp Set. Then I cut one more banner in vellum.

My card is for a bridal shower so on the inside I stamped a sentiment from LJD Gift Card Greetings II.

If you visit my blog you know I am a big fan of red, so I had to share one of my favorite red combinations, Wild Cherry, Black Licorice, Sno Cone, and sometimes just a pop of Gumdrop Green Card Stock.

I used one of my favorite à la modes stamp sets, Polished to Perfection, and added a sentiment from the set. The sentiment is stamped in Wild Cherry Ink and cut out with the File Tab Die-namics.

The flower is created with the Royal Rose and Royal Leaves Die-namics. I used MFT felt in Wild Cherry for the flower.

The bottom border is cut with the Scalloped Scallop Die-namics and I added MFT ribbon in Wild Cherry.

She is colored with Copic Markers and Prism Colored Pencils.

On the inside I added a gift card holder with the Horizontal Gift Card Die-namics, added a sentiment from the stamp set and a place to write a note.

SSSC180 - Fluttering By to Say Hi

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by today! I hadn't gotten a chance to play with the new MFT Doodle Garden Fluttering By Stamp Set, so one evening this week, when I just wanted to relax, I colored her up. It is funny, but during the work week a little coloring seems to help me wind down.

I love using a sketch as my starting place! For this card I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 180

The image is cut out and matted with dies for the Rectangle STAX Die-namics 1 and 2. I added the grass with one of MFT's new Die-namics, Grass Edges. And the bottom border is cut with the Dainty Lace Border Die-namics

The sentiment is from the stamp set and cut out with the Bracket Tab Die-namics and stamped in MFT Gumdrop Green Ink

She is colored with Copic Markers, her skirt is paper pieced, and I added glitter to her wings. In the left corner I add a tab with one of the dies in the Mix & Match Banners Die-namics and a MFT button in Razzle Berry.

Supplies:

MFT Card Stock in Kraft, Sweet Tooth, Gumdrop Green
MFT Ink in Gumdrop Green
MFT Button in Razzle Berry
Patterned Paper: Echo Park Sweet Girl

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good weekend.

MFTWSC116 - HB2U

It's Wednesday and time for another MFT Sketch. This week, we are up to MFTWSC116! You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. Hope you have a chance to play along this week!

Here is my take on the sketch. The main image on my card is created with two Die-namics, Upsy-Daisy and the Leafy Flourish. It was quick, and easy to put together!

I added MFT Buttons in Lemon Drop, threaded with Hemp Cord, to the center of the flowers.

I used a sentiment from the Lollipop Additions - Birthday Stamp Set and cut it out with one of the dies in the Circle STAX Die-namics Set 1. I layered it on a small doily from the Mini Doily Circles Die-namics.

On the inside I added a sentiment from this month's Triple Scoop, Birthday Sentiments. Love this stamp set!

Supplies:
MFT Ink in Black Licorice and Sno Cone
MFT Card Stock in Black Licorice, Gumdrop Green and Sweet Tooth
MFT Buttons in Lemon Drop

Die-namics
