MFT Teasers Dance the Night Away

Wow, it is hard to believe that January is already almost gone! But with a new month comes a new MFT release! Today the design team is previewing Dance the Night Away, Clearly Sentimental About Emerson, and Twisted Threesome. Be sure to stop my Kim's blog at 11:00 am EST for the direct links to all today's teasers.

I am using the Dance the Night Away set today. The image is stamped in Memento Black, colored with copics and the skirt is paper pieced. I used a black gel pen on the shoes, added stickles to the top of the dress, and a little glitter around the twirl of her skirt. I added black velvet ribbon, and a pink satin bow around the middle. Black rhinestone flourishes finish off the card.
On the inside I stamped one the sentiments and another image from the set. The edges are sponged with a pink distressing ink and I added glitter to the image.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another teaser!

Happy Flowers!

Hi All! I am in a hotel in Anaheim as I write this. I only live an hour and a half from where CHA is being held!! I decided to come up tonight. I am taking a Copic Certification Class in the morning and the weather is so bad here I thought I better play it safe. We don't do weather well in Southern California! With one storm hitting us after another there is a lot of flooding and downed trees!

This is my first CHA and I am very excited to meet all my internet friends in real life!

For my card I used my new Unity set, A Treasure to Me. I love the images in this set. I stamped the black vases and highlighted the dots with a white gel pen. I paper pieced the middle vase. I used the layout from the Friday with Flair

I decided I wanted to go vintage with my card. The papers are from the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry 6x6 pad. Her dress and apron are paper pieced and the rest is colored with copics. I added ribbon, buttons tied with twine, and a little lace. The sentiment is from the set and I added a frame around the word "love". I added some sewing and the edges are distressed with distressing ink.

Here is a closer look.

This is the inside of the card. I used coordinating papers and lace. The measuring cup and spoon are included in the set.

Now hop on over to Cindy's blog! I know she will have something wonderful to share.

Blessings

I am finally getting a chance to post something new here! But I have busy stamping for the last week, working on the Splitcoast January Fan Club Gallery. The theme is Flirty, Feminine, and Floral this month and there is some really beautiful work in the gallery. If you are a Fan Club member and would like to take a peek you can right HERE!

I had one more PI for the last MFT release that I had not had a chance to ink up, My Basket of Eggs. Isn't she the cutest! The sketch for the card is Mercy's sketch from Tuesday.

She is colored with Copics and there is glitter pen on the eggs. I added a zig zag stitch around the edge of the card. I used my new grass border punch, added lace and a ribbon. I took a glittered chipboard letter I had in my stash and colored it with my copic markers. The sentiment is from the set.

Here is a look at the inside of the card. This sentiment is also included in the set.

Thanks for stopping by,
Melody

MFT January Blog Hop

Welcome to the MFT January Blog Hop!! If you just happened upon my blog and want to start at the beginning hop on over to Kim's blog.

The set I am showing is Clearly Sentimental About Chocolate! It includes six sentiments all about Chocolate!! This a FUN set, perfect all year round! The sentiments just make you SMILE!

With this set I made a gift set of little note cards, perfect when you need that little thank you! So often when I need a thank you gift I send a little chocolate along with a note. The note card set is going to one of my girlfriends who is known for her love of chocolate!

First up is a picture of the card set in the clear A2 Box. I just tied a pretty ribbon around the box and added an sentiment punched out with an oval punch.

Here is a side view. I made four card and included envelopes.

All the cards are made with coordinating Basic Grey papers. They all have some sewing and some distress ink around the edges. The chocolate candy is from the set " Love At First Sight". There are brown stickles on the chocolate and heart shaped rhinestones.

This card uses a sentiment from the set and another set being released tonight," Who's That Chocoholic" Her dress is paper pieced, I added a border punch up the side, and again, there are stickles on the chocolates.

Another great sentiment on this one! The heart shaped box is also from the set, "Love At First Sight". It is cut out and popped up. Lace and pearls finish this one off.

The final card is all about the sentiment! Isn't it a cute one! Ribbon, lace and flower accent the sentiment. I am loving this set!!

Next up on the hop is one the new and returning member to the MFT design team, the VERY talented Sherrie Siemens!

Thanks,

Melody

Day 4 MFTeasers - Chick Flick and Make the Date

Today is the last day of teasers! Be sure to stop by Kim's blog a 11:00 am EST for the full list of designers sharing projects today.

Tonight is the MFT January release party at 8:00 pm EST in the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers. I hope you will join us. It is always fun!!!

Today I have two projects to share. The first one used a new set called Make the Date in combination with ONE of the new digital downloads to help you get organized this year!

I work full time but when you spend most of your time at and office you need to this about all the personal stuff too! I made this To Do List for my office to keep track of my personal to dos!

The title is made for one of many, many words included in the Make the Date Set. The stamp is Who's That Digital Girl. The image is stamped in Memento Black and colored with copics. The dress is paper pieced. I covered two pieces of 8" x 4" chipboard and punched holes at the top for rings.
Here is the a look at the inside. I downloaded the To Do List, printed it a number of times, and cut it to the size I needed. There are a number of downloads available tonight, including calendars in a couple of size options and birthday lists.

My second project uses the Who's That Girl Click Flick.

I decided to make a little birthday gift for my girlfriend with the new Chick Flick set. She loves the movies and this a perfect gift for her!

For my card I made a criss cross card. The image is stamped with Memento Black Ink on a MFT Perfect Paper Panel. After putting my card together I added ribbon, the stamped image, and a felt flower.

On the inside a made a little pocket for a movie gift card, added a tab to the top, and accented with tickets and popcorn included in the set.

I purchased some movie candy, tied it all together with ribbon, and then I made a little gift tag to attach. Here is a close up of the tag. First I stamped the candy, masked if off, and the stamped the popcorn and a drink and added a little flower. This sentiment is another one in the set. I think it is so cute!.

Thanks,
Melody
